Introduction

Dear Figure Skating Friends,

let me, on behalf of the whole Czech Figure Skating Association and the Organizing Committee of the  World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2003,  welcome you to the web sites which have been established on the occasion of holding this significant international competition from February 24th until March 2nd, 2003.

We would like to express our thanks to the International Skating Union for believing in our abilities when allotting the Championships to the Czech Figure Skating Association and to the city of Ostrava. It is really a great honour and pleasure for us to welcome representatives of the ISU, competitors, judges, coaches and other members of the teams from all over the world to the North Moravian capital city. We are proud of getting a chance of hosting the top junior figure skaters in the world and we are going to prepare as good conditions as possible, which will definitely enable the competitors to present great performances.

These web sites have been established to inform you not only about the environments, program and results of the Championships, but also about other important events interesting for both figure skating experts and the audience. We are also going to introduce the city of Ostrava to you. A big number of members of the figure skating family have already visited it on the occasion of a Senior Figure Skating competition Czech Skate 1994, 1995 and 1997 or a Junior Figure Skating competition of the same name which was held as a Junior Grand Prix in 1999, 2000 and 2001.

Dear friends, whichever part of the world you are from, welcome to the Czech Republic and welcome to the city of Ostrava.
